To ensure the best experience for participants, the following eligibility criteria, conditions of participation, and expectations, YRF Sudan fellows will be well-prepared to make the most of the opportunities provided by the Young Reporters Fellowship and to contribute meaningfully to the field of journalism.
To ensure a diverse and talented cohort, the Young Reporters Fellowship in Sudan has established the following eligibility criteria for prospective applicants:
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old at the time of application.
- Educational Background: Applicants must be students, recent graduates, or young professionals from communications, journalism and public relations backgrounds.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required, as the programme will be conducted in both English and Arabic.
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of Sudan or of Sudanese origin.
- Passion for Journalism: Demonstrated interest in journalism, storytelling, and media is desired. This can be evidenced through previous work, academic projects, or personal initiatives.

- Completion of Assignments: All assignments, projects, and evaluations must be completed on time and to the best of the participant's ability.
