Following its official lunch recently, the Young ReportersFellowship (YRF Sudan), an innovative, fully funded international scholarship
programme for young journalists, is excited to announce that applications
are now open for its inaugural cohort. This fellowship is exclusively
available to Sudanese nationals who are passionate about journalism and
committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
YRF is a groundbreaking programme
designed to empower aspiring journalists in Sudan by providing comprehensive
training, hands-on experience, and mentorship.
Delivered by international experts through a rigorous
curriculum covering multimedia storytelling, digital journalism, investigative
reporting, and ethical journalism practices, fellows will gain the skills and
knowledge needed to excel in the field and promote truth, transparency, and social
change.
Roaa ALI, Executive Director of Fellowship, highlighted the
importance of this opportunity: "We are thrilled to open applications
for the Young Reporters Fellowship. This programme will nurture talented young
journalists and equip them with the tools to drive impactful storytelling that
fosters peace, development, and community service in Sudan."
Interested candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility
criteria and submit their applications by 30 September 2024, according to the programme timeline. The selection
process will be rigorous, ensuring that only the most dedicated and talented
